The Principals of Koehler Consulting, Inc. (KCI):

Scott Koehler, President 

Mr. Koehler is an Enterprise Architect with over twenty-five years of information systems experience.  Mr. Koehler provides enterprise architecture and object oriented analysis & design consulting along with project management assistance. He specializes in enterprise application integration (EAI), service oriented architecture (SOA), and web service projects.  Mr. Koehler has extensive subject matter expertise in the insurance and financial services industry.  He has designed several industry specific object oriented application frameworks and holds a patent for the KCI Tax Server design. 

Prior to founding KCI in 1990, Mr. Koehler was Director of Application Development for Applied Expert Systems (APEX) in Cambridge, MA, a developer of object-oriented, personal financial planning software for the financial services / insurance industry. APEX was a spin-off of Index Group/CSC Index. He was with the company for eight years. Earlier, Mr. Koehler was a consultant with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) in Boston.

Mr. Koehler holds a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from CorneII University and an MBA from Boston University. He is a speaker at industry conferences such as the Object Management Group’s Integrate 2003.  Mr. Koehler was one of the early leaders in the object technology industry in the ‘90s appearing many times at industry conferences like Object World and Object Expo, and has authoring articles on the use of object technology in business applications appearing in publications such as Computerworld, Object Magazine, and the Object Management Group's First Class and Object Insider. Additionally, Mr. Koehler served on the Program Committee of Object World from 1993 - 1997.

Roger Macdonald, Principal

Mr. Macdonald has over twenty-five years of information systems experience. His experience includes many years of object oriented analysis, design, and implementation, system architecture, and client/server experience. He has focused on defining user requirements, business and systems analysis, software design, data modeling, and project management.

Prior to joining KCI, Mr. Macdonald's career included twenty years in information systems at The New England (New England Life) and subsequent consulting experience at CSC Consulting and with his own practice.

His interests include productivity measurement, CASE tools, structured and object oriented methods and reengineering strategies for legacy systems. A frequent speaker at Object World, Mr. Macdonald holds a B.S. degree in Journalism from Boston University.
